Yup, his passing has been poor most of the year. Even beginning of the year he was a bit off while putting up numbers. I've mentioned in a few previous game threads why he has regressed but yeah he certainly hasn't been the same QB that he was the last two seasons.

Wilson is good at running around until the defense naturally falls apart, then finds a random wr for 50 yards.

I aint mad at him. If h'ss sitting in the pocket and has to beat a good secondary, Im not holding my breath. Plenty of time to develop that game if he wants though. And its not like he has stud players to throw to to be fair.

While buying time/scrambling is obviously something he's good at, he has also shown plenty of times in the last two seasons he has the ability to do well within the pocket as well. He's no Peyton Manning in the pocket and probably never will be due to his height/tendency to bail, but he's plenty capable of making plays from the pocket. I'd love to see him get more consistent protection for once. The O line hasn't been good at pass blocking since he came into the league and I think it has hurt his development as a passer somewhat.

But with that said, he isn't throwing well this year regardless and a lot of that is his own fault.

I wonder how Russell's passing game would change with a true possession receiver or receiving tight end. I really liked Kevin Norwood in college. I don't understand why he's not on the field. Paul Richardson has been a ghost too.

I heard all the talk about Richardson in pre-season/camp, but he seems way to small/weak so far. He just gets bullied by larger corners…that first pick that Russ threw on Sunday, while a bad throw, should not have been a pick if Richardson is a bigger/stronger receiver.
