Broncos, Pats, Cards and Colts have all clinched playoff spots and with the exception of the Cards, their divisions.

Playoff Race

Pretty comprehensive breakdown with percentage chances. Breaks down teams chances of either making the playoffs or securing a high seed.

Bills at 5%. We need a lot of stuff to happen. It will suck if we end up winning out at 10-6 and miss the playoffs, but that's why you have to win the games on your schedule. Losses to HOU & KC stick out.

Re: Playoff Race

What I want to know is how is Seattle ahead of Dallas when they are both 11-4 and Dallas beat them head to head?

Dallas, Seattle, Green Bay, Arizona and Detroit are all 11-4. Green Bay and Arizona are eliminated by division tiebreakers.

Dallas is left with the worst conference record of the three remaining. Seattle and Detroit are tied for the best which pushes it to Common Games where Seattle is better than Detroit. Head-to-head is void with Detroit not playing either, particularly them not playing Dallas.

Okay, that makes sense. I was just wondering because I was thinking back to 2002 when Green Bay, Philly, and Tampa were all 12-4. Tampa played Green Bay and beat them but were beat by Philly and Philly got homefield while Tampa got the second seed.

So would I be right then if I said that if Green Bay and Detroit tie and Seattle and Dallas win, that Dallas would get homefield?

Yeah, Philly got that by virtue of being 11-1 in conference. Tampa and Green Bay then got to use the head-to-head game when it was down to two teams so Tampa got the bye.

Dallas, by being the first team eliminated by the tiebreaker, does not get that benefit.

Correct.

Re: Playoff Race

Really glad the Texans blew so many winnable games this year. I really like having to rely on Cleveland to beat Baltimore.
