Modell also didn't seem to have the greatest relationship with BB but if they had made the playoffs i'd say BB would've been the first coach of the Ravens.
Well, I was more than old enough at the time that I remember what happened without having to see that show.

I've never been huge on the idea that all of these things or even injuries can always ruin an otherwise good team because there have been plenty examples of good teams rising above it. If anything, we know from history that Vinny Testaverde was never the long-term answer anywhere and was a part of far more collapses than he was successes in his career, so it's not much of a surprise that the same thing happened with him there.

I'm not sure if whole teams are where it's at. This is more of an individual thing. You can pretty much look around the league throughout its entire history and find players getting chances from coaches even though they were far past their primes, when younger/better players could've easily filled that role and given them a better chance to win.

Re: Could Garropolo Take Brady's Job?

Since Hoodie took Brady, he drafted at QB:

117th, 2002- Rohan Davey
201st, 2003- Kliff Kingsbury
230th, 2005- Matt Cassel
94th, 2008- Kevin O'Connell
250th, 2010- Zac Robinson
74th, 2011- Ryan Mallett
62nd, 2014- Jimmy Garoppolo

Garoppolo isn't going to take Brady's job. Garoppolo isn't even going to be Brady's replacement when Brady retires. This is Denis Dixon all over again.

It's the NFL, anyone on any day can take anyone's job if they are producing. At least, that's what any good coach/manager would do.

Anywho, it's not very likely that would happen. Brady hasn't seen major slippage other than not being able to escape the pass rush. When Belichick effectively got rid of Kosar all those years ago there were already signs that he was slowing down and the best years of his career were over. Brady still has 3-4 good years in him at the very least.

Disagree. Brady's arm has been declining for a couple years now.

Let's not forget that at one point, Brady was the kid who wasn't taking Drew Bledsoe's job.

His deep ball certainly has been declining but he has enough football savvy and smarts to more than compensate for that. If indeed his arm is shot it's not like he can't operate in a dink and dunk system. After all, the first part of the Pats' dynasty was mostly a short passing attack with a good emphasis on the run game.

Drew Bledsoe was never future HOFer, face of the franchise, 4 SB winner, Tom Brady. And the Drew Bledsoe Pats were not face of the league, dynasty, 4 SB winning Pats of today.

And that's not even considering that Brady was the SB MVP from just a year ago... this isn't like the Ravens getting rid of Dilfer after winning the title.
