Re: 2015 Training Camp/Preseason Games Discussion Thread

I remember a discussion.

They said it would be hard for him to learn to block at the pro level, after never having done it all his life.

So unless he had the athleticism of a "move" TE who isn't expected to do much, that conversion wasn't going to happen.

It's a bit presumptuous to say he'd 'have a job' but his athletic ability certainly provided him some options. Not sure if those are options anymore at this point in his career though.

I've never understood the Tebow CFL stuff. That's a heavy pass league, 3 downs to get a 1st instead of 4, his skill set has even less value in Canada

1/4 of the teams in the NFL operate their (Predictable)Offense like you mentioned.

If the Henry Burris' of the world can go there and shine, it shouldn't be an issue for Tebow to be at least adequate.

And if we're to believe that he's improved as a passer, compared to where he's been before, then going there wouldn't make him any worse.

Tebow fans, smh.

Kelly has said clearly and bluntly what many have been saying for years... he's not good enough. He's never been good enough. He'll likely never be good enough.

My problem with the whole thing is there seems to be a sense of entitlement like he's just supposed to be an NFL QB. I don't get it. I used to only blame the fans but he's been too stubborn to try another position or go to Montreal to get live reps and hopefully improve to the position he wants, but he seems to think he's just supposed to make it too.

Just a big waste of time.

Yea, at this stage Tebow needs to go the CFL and learn how to read defenses at an NFL QB level. His accuracy seems much improved, but you can tell his weakness is still going through his progressions. I'm a huge, outspoken fan of Tebow but he definitely needs work in that area.

I still think he's good enough for a #3, especially in the QB friendly Eagles system -- I'm guessing Kelly just didn't want to deal with the media attention.
