Week 4: Minnesota Vikings (2-1) @ Denver Broncos (3-0)

Well it looks like Minnesota is getting Xavier Rhodes back from the concussion he suffered last week against the Chargers which is beyond huge.

When I first seen this match up before the year started I chalked it up as a loss immediately but after the first 3 weeks I'm optimistic.

The Broncos Oline face a pretty good swarming pass rush that the Minnesota Vikings have and Denver has not looked good when they face a good Dline. The last 2 Quarterbacks we have faced (Mathew Stafford and Phillip Rivers) have suffered multiple hits and pressure leaving them both bruised and bloody and that's something that Peyton hates.

Anthony Barr, Harrison Smith and Xavier Rhodes have been playing out of their mind this year on Defense as well so far this year.

On the other hand you got the Minnesota Offense who has Adrian Peterson that looks just like he was 2 years ago but going up against a great defense the Broncos have. I expect them to load the box and try to make Teddy beat them through the air (Like every other team we play does, lol) but Minnesota doesn't have exactly a great Oline either so Imo this game is going to turn into a Defensive battle.

Not sure who is going to win but being in Denver I give the advantage to the Broncos. I just think it will be a tougher match up than people think it will be.

I think every quarterback hates that.

Yeah that was worded horribly, I meant to say that that the big key to beating Peyton is to rattle him by hitting him constantly and with his age he isn't going to be moving around too much (Even in his prime he didn't but I seen him get out of sure sacks, not sure 8f he can do that anymore).

All he does now is what kept Marvin Harrison healthy all those years, he just falls and sacks himself before he can be hit.

Sure when pressure is coming, and we all know he can't get away, he protects himself. But if you noticed the last two weeks, the pocket around him has been coming around and he has been able to step up, and step into his throws. Offensive line is what has made him look so bad this year. I think the lack of a sure handed slot receiver has had more impact as well. Doesn't have Stokely or Welker and Lattimer has not stepped up as the replacement to Julius as everyone assumed. Norwood could have potential in that spot, but has dropped some balls that need to be caught and is not finding the same holes Stokely and Welker have historically found.

As the line continues to mesh, we should see Peyton have more protection and, in theory at least, the running game should begin to click.

That defense though...

Can't get into situations like that against the Broncos defense.
