He's coming off of micro fracture, so I'd temper those expectations a bit. NaVarro Bowman's return was highly anticipated by us 49er fans, but he hasn't been himself yet and he didn't even have micro fracture. Takes most of these guys a year to get back to where they were, if ever.

We'll see, he's been out for a year and micro isn't a death sentence like it used to be. The reason we're so excited is because our LB core is the weak link of our D. Burfict at 80% would still be our best LB. He also calls the plays when he's in and just his presence alone will give a huge emotional boost.

Burfict himself said he feels like he actually gained a step. Doubtful but I'm excited he's back

AJ Hawk is a starting linebacker for Cincinnati. I think I would take concussed Burfict on one leg over him.

kinda wished Le'Veon would get a touch every offensive possession.....at least have the defense stop you before you get all pass-happy
