Now I don't think so. Clearly looked like the ref blew the whistle after the ball was in the air. I think he just had a brainfart.

The refs knew it was a screw up so they decided to make up for it by giving us that BS that the whistle came after the catch.

Yeah, that was a pretty major blunder by the ref, but if I was a Patriot fan, I'd be way more pissed about Gruden jinxing the **** out of Gostkowski there. Not cool.
