One thought on Randy Gregory beyond my disappointment as a fan (I still have high hopes, right or wrong):

In Jason Garrett's tenure, the Cowboys have some amount of proven track record for coddling younger players with off-field issues and helping them become more responsible, functional, and productive. The obvious example is Dez Bryant, but they've gotten more out of Rolando McClain than anyone could have expected this time three years ago as well.

Point is, the resources are there for Gregory to get past this and become a productive player, and Jerruh won't hesitate to make sure those things are in place; it's on the player to actually do it, though. In this case, he hasn't. I hope he does going forward from here, obviously.
