@AdamShefter
Patriots are acquiring LB Kyle Van Noy from Lions, multiple sources tell ESPN's James Walker, Field Yates and Mike Reiss

Who the hell is Kyle Van Noy? How big a bum is he?

He was a 2 round pick couple years ago. Good in coverage.

Lions are signing Josh Bynes, whom they used an IR workaround on to not have to burn their one player who can return from IR.

He was indeed a 2nd round pick, but who the hell told you that lie in the bold? He's a 3-4 linebacker who never really fit our system. He was best when blitzing and even that wasn't very good. Tight ends have been running us ragged all year because none of our linebackers can really cover. He'll likely fit better in the Patriots scheme, but don't expect more than average.

I could've sworn I read he was at least decent in coverage on Twitter. Probably got it confused with someone else.

Re: 2016 Transaction Thread

Decent player, didn't fit the system. Built more like a pass rusher.

I like this bridge Bob Quinn has built between us and New England. Already had a few transactions either way. Stuff like that can be valuable, especially around Draft Day.

Patriots are trading LB Jamie Collins to the Browns for a third round pick per Schefter.
