My Super Bowl matchup for the season, and we get it in Week 1.

Patriots have a tough schedule without Brady (two East games, plus this and HOU). Garrapollo will be tested especially against this defense.

Pats will be better by the end of the year, but I think they start off slow and not just because Brady won't be playing. Some injuries offensively, so unless the defense plays well they may be 2-2 or worse after 4 games... I hope!

Wanna see if Palmer bounces back from his NFCCG implosion. Plus, any David Johnson is good David Johnson. Looking forward to a monster year from him if he gets the usage.

I would love to see a Bill Belichick clinic just to show the league he's still boss but I think Garoppolo isn't ready for this defense. Maybe Gronk and Bennett are matchup-proof and have big games. Who knows?

I don't think Gronk or Bennett make a big enough difference to force a NE win, but expect the TE position to be heavily involved while Jimmy G starts. Those guys should receive a ton of looks in the passing game.

Two things I would like to come away feeling come Monday morning.

Offense is capable of putting up 20+ points without Brady, and the defense meets the high expectations I have for them this year. I think the Pats defensive unit should be one of the best in all the league. I like our chances to go 2-1 after Sunday night if I get a sense those two things can happen.

It will be very interesting to see how Palmer plays after the fiasco that was his playoffs. Will he completely disintegrate like a certain former Panthers QB or will he be back to his usual self? Time will tell on that one. I think the Pats will be very competitive in this game but Garropolo will make at least one major mistake that costs the Pats the game.

I think we're going to see more Chris Johnson in this one than most people expect.

Patriots will be missing 2 of the top 5 players in football and they'll still find a way to win. Guaranteed.

I respect Arizona. Can't find a hole on that team. 24-13.
