Re: Week 11 Games Thread

Darby played a great game in his first game back. I wasn't sure how effective he would be, but he played like a stud. 1 Int, 1 PD(was a DPI though), and led team in tackles. Corners was thought to be a weakness after preseason, but played great. Only real weakness on defense is MLB. Good pass rush from all lineman and playing off coverage forces teams to make quick short throws and limits big plays. They still have Sydney Jones waiting to be healthy and could be back by mid December. But with how well Corners are playing, I would just sit him out for the year.
Problem with offense is when they get unbalanced with playcalling. Last year was frustrating how much they passed. With their bigger backs, they need to run the ball 30 times a game.
Out of the remaining 6 games, only team I'm worried about are the Seahawks. Bears could be a trap game, but the game plan would be to limit run game and force Mitch to beat them. Seahawks can't run ball, so they would have to throw ball all game which would benefit Dline, and with Sherman and Kam out, defense won't be as strong. Rams are a better team than last year, but overachievers since 6 of 7 wins were against teams under 500, their signature win would be the Jags. Raiders are a let down this year. And they know what they are going against with Dallas and Giants. So I can see them going at worst 3-3 and possibly 5-1.

Jason Garrett has no business being a head coach.

McDermott (or whoever) deciding to start Peterman against the best pass rush duo in the league heh.

That was already a bad decision before a single snap was taken.

Bosa was wreaking havoc out there.

McDermott says he's undecided on who will start this week...

Bosa has been an animal since Day 1 and definitely someone that gets slept on out here in the East Coast.

It sounds funny because obviously Taylor is the better option, but this was never really about playing the better option. The move was made with the future in mind, of which Taylor is most likely not a part of. I don’t want to hear this we’re in the business of winning football games bull**** from McDermott if that’s the case.

There’s a balance between playing for this year and building a contender for the future. Buffalo completely ****ed it up. There would likely be a game or two late this year that Peterman could have gotten time in. Instead the Bills wanted to skirt the process and insert their guy and the rest would be sunshine and rainbows. Got learnt real quick, but I don’t know if they actually absorbed the lesson.

The silver lining, of which Buffalo deserves none, is that the AFC sucks. The Ravens are the last wild card spot now, with us at 7 behind them. I guess we’re supposed to excited about that, but the QB change and the subsequent results have just dampened my whole mood on the Bills. We don’t deserve good ****.

Re: Week 11 Games Thread

It reminds me a lot of when the Broncos pulled Plummer for Cutler in a year where they started out 7-2 (7-4 when Plummer was benched). IFIRC they lost their last home game in week 16 to the Bills to drop them to 8-7 in a game that they were heavily favored to win and would have clinched a playoff spot for them before going on the road to San Francisco, losing and being eliminated.

The move with Cutler was all about the future for Shanahan and years later we all know how that's played out for all parties involved.
