Should be in the discussion, but it's still Tom Brady

Why? Because of their record?

Brady will always be the GOAT, but the Pats have everything going for them in terms of their roster, health, and divisional competition. Wilson is the singular reason the Hawks are even competitive this year. Without him, we're probably playing for a top pick in next season's draft. Over 80% of the Hawks' offensive production this season, and has scored every single Hawks touchdown except for one.

The Pats can still be good without Brady, we've seen it before. The Hawks are Giants-status without RW. If that's not the definition of "most valuable player", idk what is.

Nah,

Pederson ruined this game...in the first half he was Pete Carol's assistant.

He calls the plays, and he called an overly conservative game with a focus on the run, as if a RB is our best player.

Then the all out blitz that was totally unnecessary that resulted in the Wilson TD bomb...equivalent to a free play.

Then the failure to challenge the forward pass...I could go on and on.

Still, no one (not even the Pats) makes you pay for mistakes like Carroll does (I am USC alum so I know and admire his style).

He has a rope-a-dope way of suckering opposing teams into making mistakes or underestimating his team...that's when they strike! The Seahwaks success is predicated on the other team making huge coverage mistakes (like Wilson's 2nd AND 3rd TDs), falling asleep on D, or committing penalties. Way too many flags thrown tonight, btw.

Edit: To your point though, RW is definitely in the MVP running.

Week 13 Discussion

Seattle is lucky they have a mobile guy like Wilson back there bailing out that O-line. My goodness. Felt like he was running for his life on half his dropbacks, from the 2ish quarters I watched anyway. Good win for Seattle though.

Feels like the Bobby Ross lead Bolts of 92 all over again. Loved that team.

Hope they can win out and do it, we'll see.
