Re: 2018 Offseason Thread

Yeah, if other people quit their jobs and uprooted their families based on my word, no I wouldn't just leave them high and dry.

HC is a promotion and the top of the profession, he didn't change his mind for a lateral move. The Colts gig, pending Luck's health, is about as good a starter gig that comes available. Right now McDaniels looks like a spoiled kid that doesn't want to leave his parent's house for the real world. It's just an all around bad look especially when you consider he's had no success whatsoever, offensive coordinator or head coach, outside of the Brady/Belichick umbrella.

I'm not saying he should be barred from future opportunities but I certainly wouldn't take his candidacy seriously, any time soon, if it were my call.

2018 Offseason Thread

Dude had hired 3 assistants that already signed contracts with us. So now we have to find a coach that can’t choose all of his assistants. Lol. Huge dick move on his part. I’m not too upset he chose to back out because I was questioning the hire to begin with, but he definitely burned some bridges here. Hope it works out for him. Actually no I don’t because **** the Pats lol.

I keep thinking back to that 30 for 30 when they're talking about Belichick resigning from the Jets before he even started and they cut to Kraft...

"I thought it was a great press conference." lol. He must be loving this.

Damn... Those are some strong words from Mr. Ballard. I’m pumped now. Can’t wait to play the Pats in the AFCCG next year. Rivalry is back guys!

Lol really though what a silly thing to say. Our rival is Cleveland for the #1 pick.

Re: 2018 Offseason Thread

I have no issue with changing one's mind. It happens all the time BUT to basically wait 24 hrs before the presser and having a couple assistants sign deals before pulling the plug on an agreement is not only indicative of the kind of character you have BUT it's also unprofessional in the worst way. As I said in the carousel thread this comes off as McDaniels using leverage to get more money and assurances that he becomes Belichick's successor.

This was pretty much the definition of being a douche.
