I just don't see the Panthers winning this. Don't think they will stop the Saints' offense, and I have zero faith in the Panthers' offense after yesterday

Falcons (would this be considered a huge upset?)
Saints

The Falcons are much more capable of winning on the road than the Panthers are, especially with what offense the Panthers will be up against.

I’m going with the Falcons to beat the Rams, and I have the Saints throttling the Panthers. I just don’t see the Panthers’ offense standing a chance.

Re: 2017 NFC Wild Card Round

I'll take Rams over Atlanta. Falcons have been hot and cold all year. They probably have a better roster, 1-53 than the Rams but I don't trust Sark one bit as their play caller. LA is much better coached. Julio could always have one of those games, but I doubt Wade Philips will let that happen.

Taking Saints over Panthers, but barely. Not placing a lot of stock in the Panthers' last game vs. Atlanta. Think this game is very close.

Completely agree.

Sark either isn't up for the challenge of running a NFL offense, or he hasn't had time to put his stamp on things yet. Either way, the Falcons offense is too inconsistent to trust, especially against a good defense like LA. Plus, LA has just been red hot lately so I can't pick my home town team. Like you said though, sometimes Julio just has one of those games.

Re: 2017 NFC Wild Card Round

The only reason I picked Atlanta over the Rams is because it’s the only team on the road with a realistic chance of making it to the next round. I don’t truly believe the Falcons will win because their offense has shown a lot of inconsistency throughout the season, and if the Rams’ offense executes like they have most of the season, the Falcons won’t be able to keep pace and win.

Re: 2017 NFC Wild Card Round

I picked Atlanta for a couple reasons:

1. They've been through the playoff wars before and I think while they've had an up and down season this is where the hard work and boot camp mentality of the preseason comes into play.

2. I'm not a big fan of McVay resting all his starters in the last game. I get it to a degree but it's a recipe for disaster especially for a young team that's never been in this kind of position before. They could either come out blazing hot or the moment may become too big for them. I lean on the latter based on the disruption of their routine.
