Re: XFL Discussion

I feel the offensive line play contributed to the inconsistent QB play and the lack of a run game. I noticed the the OL play had improved later in the season.

If the league limited defenses and pass rush similar to various college football all-star games and the NFL Pro Bowl, the offenses would have been more potent.

I just think there were some teams that never really implemented a run game, so it didn't allow for good diversity. Maybe the run blocking was just as bad, not sure. But adding more decent runs would have naturally improved the passing game.

XFL in discussions with Canadian Football League about a partnership.

So many questions, so few answers at this point.

Don't forget the Rock who bought the XFL played in the CFL.

Re: XFL Discussion

Putting the 2022 season on hold this prematurely sure isn't a good sign to me. Unless the CFL needs to make a change themselves this feels like an effort to drum up some good PR to try and turn their efforts into something viable, otherwise I wonder if investors are about to back out.

I can't get past the Calgary Stampers line. TSN has done bad job proofreading lately (let's just say 'analytics' got cut off in one of their articles)

But this deal would be interesting depending what happens. They key is that XFL won't start in 2022....unless the CFL deal happens?

What will the deal be? Merge the XFL and CFL? Allow players to play in both leagues? A championship game between the XFL champ and Grey Cup winner?
