Re: Week 1 Discussion Thread

Actually, I have Rodgers and the under rated Packers OL breaking Mack's neck on passing downs. LOL

In all seriousness, Rodgers and the 3 step should stymie the Bears defense.

Dec. 16th matchup in Chicago should be a better matchup.

Re: Week 1 Discussion Thread

NFL Sunday Ticket question

I'm going without it this year, but Week 1 is always a free preview. I know how to get to that channel on my TV, but how do I access the stream on my PC (website, not app)? Any link I try and visit, even from Google, brings me to the page where I have to purchase it first. Does that mean I can't stream Week 1, but only watch it on TV (or perhaps use an app on a phone or tablet)?

Thanks.

I don't think you can stream it on the computer anymore. I think there used to be a program you had to DL.

Thanks. Last year you used to be able to stream it through a website (no actual program). At least I was able to.

My next thing I'll try is the PS4 app but doing it through Remote Play. Knowing Sony though they'll probably block that screen. Will update you in like sixty seconds.

Regardless, just goes to show that it won't really be worth investing in anymore. Can't stream on PC and my new DirecTV receiver doesn't have PiP? Psh, done.

EDIT: Nope, can't stream through RP. Can't even do Vue through RP.

Am I imagining things or has Fox finally improved their subpar HD feed?

This is even less necessary than the insistence of a strike zone box hovering over catchers on every baseball broadcast.
A bit OT, but: the explanation I've heard is that there were some complaints from viewers to NBC about judging distance to the first down marker when the game was viewed from the sky cam / "spider cam" (especially after the game which was broadcast last year from the sky cam, I forget what game that was unfortunately). The green zone is intended to address that issue by providing more spatial context for where a player is relative to the line to gain, but NBC is also using it while showing the traditional sideline camera, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Looking right now at the Niners-Vikings game, I would say that you're onto something. Definitely still looks like 720p, but at least it doesn't look like it is passing through like seven other feeds before getting to us.

I haven't really watched any FOX games this year, even for MLB because I just use MLB.TV. Is it the same there as well?

EDIT: The Jags-Giants game doesn't look very good though.

Re: Week 1 Discussion Thread

Looks like the Titans are flushing points down the toilet by going for it on fourth down from the three yard line. Interesting.
