I like the trade for the Dolphins. It is a low risk high reward situation. If it doesn't work out, you only gave up a late 2nd. They aren't paying much for him next 3 years. If they don't do well, they can end up with a high pick and get a 2020 QB or trade up with vast picks next year.
But if it does work out and they feel he can be a franchise QB, they can really speed up the rebuild. I read that they have an extra pick in every round beside 1st. So they could really add talent around him next year.
