Apparently, from an analytical standpoint, it is the preferred move:

Weather conditions also weren’t good for kicking PATs.

However, the Panthers also struggle in short yardage situations this year, so I’m not sure they convert two-point conversions at an average rate...

But I'm sure I'll continue to be told that they're more likely to pick in the top 10 (6-10 or worse was the watermark for that last year) than to compete for a playoff spot.

Here's what's left:

at Browns
vs Bengals
vs Browns
at Cardinals
vs Bills
at Jets
at Ravens
Who's telling you that they will be more likely to pick in the top 10?

It was discussed in the Week 9 thread. I don't remember who all said it, without looking.

Yeah I think they've been pretty poor on 2 pt conversions the last few years. However, that makes a lot of sense and I actually like that line of thinking. Instead of waiting for the last play to try to win it with a 2 pt, try it early and give yourself time to make it up if you can.

I'm a big fan of that.

I’m sick of how many defensive holding penalties we see in today’s NFL. I don’t remember it being like this 10 or 15 years ago. Do I just remember the past with rose colored glasses?

The rules are so in favor of passing now that even below average QBs put up numbers that would be HOF worthy in past decades. It’s ridiculous.

No because 10-15 years ago you could damn near mug a receiver. Then Peyton Manning and his Colts got undressed by New England and from that point on the league started calling more and more penalties to "open the game up".

Horrendous playcalling all night. Cowboys coaching blew it after Minnesota gave us a chance.

Re: Week 10 Discussion Thread

Steelers worry me, man... that defense is taking the ball away. Minkah Fitzpatrick has been a terror since landing in PIT. Probably was before but no one paid attention to the Dolphins. Count me in as someone who thought they would fade away gently. Maybe they weren’t as bad as 1-4 looked. Only big L was to NE to start the season. That first win, and even the 4th loss to BAL (in OT) has seemed to turn their stuff around.

Gonna pull a “my fantasy team,” but DJ Moore is having himself a bit of a year there in Carolina. He’s getting better it seems. CMC getting all the run but he’s gone back to back 100 yard games, hasn’t found the end zone much though. How do you Carolina guys feel about him?

MNF game should be funnnn.

I thought I knew who was good and who was okay and who was bad in the NFL this year, turns out I know nothing. We’re in for a wild second half of the season.
