Winning close games isn't really a sustainable skill, because the difference often comes down to which the way the ball bounces on a fumble, for example. It's especially not sustainable when one team (like the 2019 Packers) goes 8-1 in one score games (which I'll define as games played within 8 points), while another (the Cowboys) goes 1-6. Luck can play a pretty substantial role in inflating, or deflating, win-loss totals.

The Patriots literally just lost a home game to one of the worst teams in the league. There are plenty of other ways to judge teams than bad losses.

Re: Week 17 Discussion Thread

Fumbling the punt just seals the deal on this embarrassment. Not benching a QB that is 9/23, game was winnable. Collapse in the last three games.

Titans win, eliminating the Steelers and Raiders. They'll head to Foxboro next weekend (schedule expected tonight)

Well, the season ended in disappointment for the Steelers, but enjoyed posting in the weekly threads and chatting with everyone, thanks for another fun year

Its crazy to think 1 game, the final game of the regular season, will impact 4 teams playoff seedings.
