If KC and Green Bay advance to give us the long awaited SB I rematch, we better get Jet Pack guys.

Niners by 14+.

You’d be a fool not to take it and no this isn’t some reverse psychology either.

Basically the Chiefs -7.5 (this is the spread) means betting on them is saying they'd win by more than that amount (they'd 'cover' the spread). Otherwise you could bet on the Titans, they are the underdog who are being 'given' 7.5 points, if they win the game, or lose by less than 7, your bet pays out.

This number changes based on the money coming in and other circumstances (like injuries during the week), but mostly that first bit, to spread exposure for the sportsbook.

Chiefs were -9.5 iirc against the Texans, so anyone who bet on that game were down over 30 at one point from cashing those tickets, even more incredible comeback from a gambling perspective.

But what do I know, I'll be 41 in a couple weeks, I'm a Las Vegas local and I've never placed a bet.

I haven't done fantasy football in years, but I really enjoyed playing in pick'em leagues w/ the betting lines on. It's easy to pick favorites all the time, but picking a good team to win by 14.5 or more? That's a more fun pick'em to me.

Re: 2020 Conference Championships Discussion

I know this doesn't matter.

But this game during the season was pretty awesome.

Re: 2020 Conference Championships Discussion

Trust Factor:

1. San Francisco
2. Tennessee
3. Kansas City
4. Green Bay

Rodgers to Adams is going to be the name of the game for GB next Sunday, but Seattle also did not have Richard Sherman. I think it's pretty obvious that they struggle when that connection gets broken and with such a dominant pass rush from SF/injuries and illness to GB's line, it's going to be a very tough challenge to get it to Adams. GB's defense is pretty good and I don't trust Jimmy G, but they'll keep it on the ground like they did against Minnesota. If they need something through the air, Jimmy hits Kittle, a connection I do trust and one GB won't be able to stop as they focus on the run with the LB and their secondary gets distracted with Samuel and Sanders.

KC's offense is magical, but I have far more trust in Tennessee's defense than KC's, especially with Chris Jones out. Their late season numbers are overly inflated because they faced potato offenses and Watson missed seeing so many open receivers yesterday. Can Mahomes do what he did yesterday against Byard, Ryan, Jackson, and Vaccaro? Eh, it's honestly hard to say...Tennessee knows KC is not going to run the ball, that's not Andy Reid. Tennessee knows they're going to Kelce a ton, just look at yesterday. Tennessee also knows that Mahomes not on the field means KC is in big trouble..Henry will run, Tannehill will PA, Henry will run, and run again.

San Francisco vs Tennessee for the SB...what a random/unexpected finale.
