I said fans don't care about either team until they play each other. The obvious implication being that they do care about the rivalry.

That directly contradicts your statement that no one cares.

It appears you selectively quoted only part of my post because of this.

What is not clear is why you are waging this fight.

I’m not waging any fight nor am I selectively quoting anything. It’s a discussion. Should I not respond? Anyone can go back and read the entire conversation lol.

I’m not exactly sure why it’s such a big deal but whatever. Way too serious about this. It’s a statement. I don’t agree that the NFLs “best” hinges on the Steelers and Ravens rivalry. I just thought it was a silly statement considering how many different rivalries have come and gone over the last bunch of decades that all fluctuate throughout the times. Simple. We can spin the rest all day. Ebbs and flows. The NFL always will have rivalries that change and adapt.

Steelers v Raiders, 49ers v Cowboys, Bears v Lions, Bengals v Browns, hell Giants v Patriots all diff matchups that used to be rivalries. League is at its best when any teams meet up frequently in important games multiple times with playoff implications. Just my opinion.
