As a Eagle fan, it is frustrating. Ever since Frank Reich left, things went south. They tried to do a mass offensive assistant approach this past season and obviously isn't working. Yeah, OL was always the strength of the team and clearly is the weakness now, but Carson regressed bad this year. If you asked me 3 weeks ago, this was our division to lose. Now, I see us losing the next 3 games as well.
Part of me doesn't mind the losing. We need to clean house. Doug's game management has been poor this season. I felt he needed to give up the play calling duties for the last couple seasons. Howie Roseman has been poor in drafts. Yeah, he'll hit once in a while. But, we don't have too many young talent under 30 on our roster. I always felt like he drafted for traits and based on comps rather than what the player can be. We were linked to 2 WRs in the draft process, Ruggs and Jefferson. We got linked to Jefferson so much, I kind of didn't want him. But, he was the type of WR we needed. Reager was seen as a better playmaker and we were so focused on getting speed. Even JJAW was a bad pick at the time because they could have gotten him a round or two later, but they wanted a Alshon replacement. Carson will be the main issue. You can't cut him because of sunk cost. Best bet is to trade him off. Drafting Hurts was a bad decision now because even if they end up with a top 10 pick, do you draft a QB knowing you have Carson and just drafted Hurts in the second round
