Random NFL Question

Can anyone think of a NFL player who was drafted by a NFL team then cut like 2 seasons after he was drafted played 1 year somewhere else and then resigned with original team? I know it’s random but my buddy said it’s never happened and I’m sure it has?

I’m not sure how stringent the prereqs are, but Nick Foles was sort of like that. I’ll have to think. That has to have occurred, unless you’re just talking like 1st round picks that got traded and then came back, or something like that.

All I can think of are players who left as free agents or were traded. Foles signed with the Rams in free agency, was later cut by the Rams, and ended up back in Philadelphia (and helped win the Super Bowl).

Another Eagle, Jordan Matthews was traded to Buffalo a couple of years into his career. He was cut a year later and re-signed with Philly.

Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton was traded from Minnesota to the Giants, only to be traded back to Minnesota years later.
