Week 2 Discussion Thread

Giants and WFT open up Week 2 on TNF.

I imagine if we lose to Detroit on MNF, it’ll be code red and we’ll be talking about how the mess from the offseason is the reason why we’re 0-2 or that Rodgers is throwing games because….Gutekunst.

Anyway, enjoy!

There can't be any other narrative

Re: Week 2 Discussion Thread

People need to hop off the Jameis hype train. The guy didn’t even throw for 150 yards and his defense did all the work for the team

“I never had a team like this” - except he did and threw 30 picks while they won the super bowl the next year by trading out one player. Guess which player they traded out and who was really holding them back the whole time. Couldn’t have been one of the only guys in NFL history to throw 30 INTs in a season. Nah that would be too logical and make too much sense

I was shocked at how no one cared that Rodgers lost his center of 7 years and they’re without one of the best LT for a few games to injury. I wasn’t expecting them to get smacked like they did but, hello, didn’t we learn that an overmatched / hurt OL can torpedo even a defending champion’s shot at a title?

I expect they will come together as the season goes on, but there should be concerns... just not the ones people will jump to.

As for the game tonight. I’m not really excited to watch anything the Giants do this year, but am looking forward to Heinicke QB’ing WFT. He’s played well in his few games for the team for a dude who was in college a year ago at this time, not as an amateur athlete but as a washed out former NFLer getting his degree. He’s been Alex Smith-like; unspectacular but doing what he needs to do on a roster that’s pretty decent in a seemingly weak division.

Re: Week 2 Discussion Thread

Roughing the passer in the NFL is as bad as targeting in college football.

Damn... Nasty injury. I didn't understand why they brought out the cart at first. But I see why now

I'm sadly into it. We've seen waaaay too many collarbone injuries just to ignore it.
