3rd jerseys for 2009-2010?

So, anyone have any news on any third jerseys for next season? I know the Predators are getting one and Minnestoa might be as well, but my buddies and I always come up with 3rd jersey ideas, so I was wondering if anyone else here has any good ideas for 3rds or has any news on any 3rds for next season? I'd love to see the following:

Orange (or Gold) Anaheim Ducks jersey

Black Calgary Flames jersey (like the black one with the horse logo they had in 05-06)

Teal Colorado Avalanche jersey

Red Florida Panthers jersey

Green Minnesota Wild jersey

Black New Jersey Devils jersey (I'm surprised they never had one of these...I think it would look pretty cool)

Red New York Rangers jersey

And last but not least, a jersey I think would look really cool, a Navy Blue Washington Capitals jersey.

I think the Panther should bring back their old red jerseys as their third. I always liked them a heck lot more.




I always loved the Flames old "alternate" jerseys, so I will be thrilled to see them bring it back.

As much as I agree, it doesn't look like they're going to make one of em for the next couple years. Though I would love it.

Pretty sure Lamoriello has said that as long as he's in charge, the Devils will never have a third jersey.

If you're waiting for the defending Stanley Cup champion Devils to unveil a third jersey, don't hold your breath. General manager Lou Lamoriello, who has built one of the most successful professional sports organizations in North America, said his club will never engage in the marketing gimmick while he's running the show.

"I don't believe in it," Lamoriello said. "I strongly believe that you have to have one identity as a team. We want to create a feeling that our home and away jerseys are special and that it means something special to wear one."

I'd like to see the Pens powder blues go away for a while as a 3rd jersey. I'd like to see a new variation of what they used before they went back to the skating Penguin............something using the triangular Pens logo.

I kinda like those blue ones. The skating penguin is a great classic too, so either one would be good for me.

then scrap the powder blue stuff that no one remembers from when the Pens first came in and bring in these as their thirds.

I like the current unis over the Cup years unis of 91 and 92. But i'd love to see the old away game jerseys with the diagonal "Pittsburgh" on the front and the triangle penguin on the sleeve. Those things are hard to find. I'd love to buy an old pro weight jersey in that design.

I don't see what kind of jersey the Blue Jackets could use...one that isn't blue kind of goes against the whole team name "Blue Jackets"...unless they do something that's the same color as their home one, which might not be too bad. I'd like to see one with a diagonal Columbus across the front.

The Oilers are supposedly switching their Home and Alternate Jerseys this year, so the new home jersey will be the 2009 Alternate and vice versa.
