    Question for Capitals Fans

Canes fan here. We worked you guys tonight to make up for you guys blanking us the other week. Rubber match tomorrow night! Anyway, my question is this; why do Washington fans hate Alex Semin so much? I guess Brouwer said he quit or quits on the team or something but where does this idea come from? Why the vitriol and booing every time he touches the puck? See you guys in Raleigh Thursday night.

    Re: Question for Capitals Fans

He played for the Caps for 7 years... Many people say he is the most talented player in hockey when he wants to play but most people also say that his work ethic is lacking at best.

That being said, Caps fans always chirp/boo at ex-Cap players when they come back to DC. I am not sure why either... it is just something they do. NOTE: I don't do and think it is quite dumb.

Cause they don't want to boo their own Russian

But really though, I do think it's what Flyingfinn said, he's one of the most talented player in the league but he played with zero to little effort at times.

As a fan it's frustrating, cause you know the talent is there. I've dealt this with Wolski and Chris Stewart.

He screwed us over; didn't always want to play. He was lazy. He was in the penalty box half of the season, and didn't play his hardest.
