Bumpity bump bump...

Just got done watching some of the PHI/NYR Winter Classic stuff. Loved it. Snider's remarks with Slather. Seemed like a very nice event. Hope we have the season to match the excitement!

I can't wait for Thursday. I'm really interested to see this team in action

Schenn sent to Adirondack, but it probably won't be long. Almost half of his cap hit (something like $1.4 million) will be saved because it was only to be given if he spent the whole season with the team and played all 82 games. This will give us some much needed cap relief.

This also pretty much guarantees that Couturier is making the team.

This news made me very happy. I like Schenn a lot and think he's going to be a very very good player for the Flyers, but over a $3m is ridiculous for someone that hasn't proven anything in the league.

It's crazy the amount of young quality talent the Flyers have at forward. It' pretty exciting

Re: The Official Thread of the Philadelphia Flyers (Established 2005)

We rebuilt pretty nicely, that's why trading away Richards & Carter isn't nearly as bad as it sounds when you say "Flyers traded away their two best (arguably, I'd say Giroux is better then both, though they all have different strengths and weaknesses) players.

I think as far as firepower, we have the same with the potential for more as we have in the past few years. Upgraded TREMENDOUSLY at goalie, and defense is pretty much the same. Got younger, cheaper, picked up some draft picks.

It was a radical offseason plan, but I think we came out at worst staying as competitive as we've been, but leaning more towards better overall.

Can't wait for the puck drop!!!
