RIP Mr. Hockey

I got to meet him in person in Kalamazoo in my high school playing days. What an awesome guy. He will be missed.

He was a great player. Truly a big loss for hockey.

Re: RIP Mr. Hockey

Gordie had 16 goals in 1948 and 15 goals in 1980. 'Nuff said.

How many people have a sports term named after them in their own sport? The Gordie Howe hat trick. Yes, I know it's unofficial. Still.

Re: RIP Mr. Hockey

R.I.P. to one of the greatest players to ever grace a hockey rink. The Red Wings should really do something special to honor his memory. It's a crying shame that the new arena is being named after a stinkin' pizza joint. If anything, it should be called the Gordie Howe Memorial Arena.

My personal faves are the Panenka and the Mendoza Line.

Yep. Not many guys can claim to have played on the same pro team as their sons. Gretzky's idol. Nuff said.
