The Lightning are heads and shoulders better then anyone else right now. Can’t wait for the disappointment in May

LOL...I'd love to be in a position to be disappointed. The next time I'll have the opportunity with regard to the Wings will be June 21st...

Lightning path to the ECF could be tougher than Metro winner. Their 1st round opponent could be the same in standings as the metro winner opponent , and then rd2 will be Leafs or Bruins, who are currently projected to similar or better than the metro winner.

I've given up hope thinking NHL would ever change this format. Just have 2 division winners, each get home ice in rd 1, with a potential for division winner to finish 4th.

Reseeding after each round as well.

Flyers sweep the Red Wings in a back to back home and home, 6 points back of the Penguins for WC2 with the game at Lincoln Financial Field looming this weekend.

Love it!

Them having fun in front of their home crowd is awesome, and the fact that it pisses off people like Burke and Cherry makes it even better.

What’s been the difference?

Re: The Official 2018-19 Season Talk Thread

Sometimes Leafs play like a cup contender, other times you wonder about them.

To make it worse, the type of team they're worst prepared for is the team they're currently scheduled to play in rd1!

Part of me wouldn't be too upset playing the metro winner in rd1 over the Bruins.

Perhaps part could be how last year they cracked down on slashes to the hand. And we're also seeing younger guys putting up big numbers.

More scoring is a good thing. Look at Hawks vs Sens last night.
