The Crosby, Malkin Pittsburgh era is coming to a close. There wasn't much energy there.



Edmonton needs a goalie and some defenders. There's nothing wrong with McDavid in the playoffs. Scoring nine points in four games and still losing is cruel but apparently something is wrong with the way the team is built. It is so obvious when Crawford plays at his best when it is most important. Edmonton should have gone for Lehner in my opinion.



Toronto are insane. That was perhaps the sickest turnaround I've ever seen. The big four delivered when it was most crucial and Nylander shows those that beat on him last year how important he actually can be for this team. Matthews scores the final goal and adds a couple of helpers!



Vancouver! Markström seemingly took a day off and lets in three easy ones stick side but they still manage to win. Quinn Hughes keeps on evolving, what an unique offensive defenseman he is turning into! Tanev deservedly gets the game winner and adds two assists. What a hero.

How bad was Jim Hughson calling the "Kapanen" OT winner?

TSN AND Sportsnet used the Joe Bowen call in their highlights of the game.

And Sportsnet edited out Hughsons call in the replays of the game.

So glad they got Cuthbert.

Can they have Cuthbert a main primetime on east coast game, Hughson call the west coast game, and put Bowen back on TV calling Leaf only games.


People complain about "homers" but I have no issue with it. You're calling a Canadian broadcast of the Leafs vs Jackets game, I should hope you're going crazy cheering for the Leafs. Like how I'd hope the NBCSN guys get excited for the Jackets. You worried the Habs or Jackets fans watching a Leaf feed would get upset at Leafs biased commentating? Or a Leafs fan getting mad at an NBCSN call?

I think it's obvious Vegas and the Avs are the 2 best teams in the West, so we're totally getting a Stars/Blackhawks WCF.

Werenski getting an MRI and his status for Sunday is unknown.

He's not in a hospital I'm guessing or else he'd have to quarantine and wouldn't be allowed to play.

This levels playing field some more with Leafs missing Muzzin. Speaking of which, that's another thing making me really want Leafs to win tomorrow. Getting Muzzin back and going into the next round already in compete mode vs a team who hasn't played very competitive hockey in over a year would make this very interesting, especially with no home ice advantage for higher seed.

Now Hedman hurt too. Whoever wins Leafs vs Jackets has a good shot at Tampa too. Stamkos and Hedman out.
