Preseason starts next week, RFAs still aren't signed, and Marner getting over 110M CDN isnt enough.


But let's talk stuff on the ice. The Blues are defending cup champs, first season in over 20 years with no Luongo in the league, Ryan Miller is now the oldest goalie in the NHL, and Phil Kessel is on the Coyotes.


With all the RFA drama, anyone dare make predictions yet on the standings? Although as last playoffs showed, absolutely anything can happen in hockey.

Sens and Leafs from Newfoundland.

They had blue posts for the game. It actually looked cool. Wouldn't mind teams being allowed to have goal posts and even other parts of the rink more team colour specific. Like the yellow bar that goes around the boards at the bottom.

Sure, why not? I like the team specific color dividers between the glass. Gives each arena a unique look.

New rule this season. Should make things interesting.

Unlimited coaches challenges. However, if you're wrong, it's a minor penalty. If you're wrong again, its double minor.

So no more burning a timeout by making an obvious challenge that'll be wrong. Coaches did it knowing they're gonna lose it, but the challenge is longer than the timeout itself so its worth it.

Only negative here is that offsides are still challenged. It's literally a challenge of inches and angles. Maybe nobody will challenge those anymore? Those were stupidest reviews.


Wings learned that the hard way. Challenged a Leafs offside goal, they were wrong, got a penalty, Leafs scored. Now 4-0.

Leafs seem like a captain will be named within next 24 hours!

I wanna just see them do it during player intros tomorrow.

For all the hype and talk, would be a letdown if they just do it at morning skate tomorrow.

I didn't like anyone for that last western WC spot if I keep my rule of having two teams in each conference who made it last year, miss it this year. Year to year that's been about the case since the cap has been introduced.
