Bony back to Swans to replace Llorente.

Even more odd because it looks like Everton didn't want to deal with Spurs, because they agreed a deal with Chelsea but Barkley wanted to have a choice.

No idea why they wouldn't want to deal with Spurs, I don't think the two clubs have bad history or anything.

So now what happens is that he likely joins Spurs, which I think is what he wanted anyway since he has more of a chance to break into their starting 11 than ours, but he will either go for super cheap in January or free next summer.

Looks like Everton played themselves.

Transfer window closed now in the UK, but still open in Spain until tomorrow.

Brighton send in a cut sheet (1am extension) to the FA trying to sign Vincent Janssen from Spurs.

Yeah, because he'll just bring them loads of those goals which they preciously need.

They better hope they get awarded plenty of penalties. All he's good at.

Re: The Transfer Thread

What happened with Riyad Mahrez?

Surprising to watch Man City splash the cash, then struggle to get across the line today.

Chelsea sputtered, but I think the only player they really lost out on was Barkley as I think he would've provided a nice depth option for them. I've not seen enough of Zappacosta to rate him properly, but seems a decent signing. Keeping AC around is great.

Arsenal weren't as laughable as expected. Perez and Campbell loaned out. Sanchez should've left, but oh well, we'll see if his heads on straight I suppose, happy to see Mustafi is still around, think he deserves more time and is probably our 2nd or 3rd best centreback. Losing Ox isn't the end of the world. I like him, but I don't think he was ever going to realize his potential at Arsenal, and £35m is a good fee.

Liverpool did that weird thing where they signed Keita next year? I like Keita, seems weird to wait around for a year though, considering the plethora of things that could happen in a year. Otherwise their window seems fine, Ox is probably going to be much better in a Liverpool shirt than he ever was in an Arsenal shirt, Salah already creates a scary pairing with Mane. This should be a fun team to watch.

Spuds got Llorente and Aurier. neat.

West Brom with the late signings of Grzegorz Krychowiak on loan, Gibbs on a permanent, Burke, and the earlier signings of Rodriguez and Barry, and lastly the fending off of interest in Johnny Evans makes them look like real winners.

Good on Thomas Lemar for not giving in to the last minute silly season nonsense. Arsenal and Pool missed out by waiting far too long.

Re: The Transfer Thread

Mahrez will probably go to Barca tomorrow unless Coutinho does.
