Petty? please, broham...this is the biggest sports organization there is...

The "vanishing spray" thing stands in such stark contrast that it makes the whole operation a joke. It fixes what is/was essentially a non-problem.

It's like someone's wife had drained the savings, had an affair, and wrecked the car...but only apologized for burning the casserole...

There is nothing petty about calling out a multi-billion dollar organization that demands capital from its consumers for its product while refusing to comport itself appropriately.
You act like FIFA diverted millions of dollars or years of work towards the spray, when in reality all they did was see how well it worked in the domestic leagues that use it, and decided to implement it.

Having a few problems with the WC venues down in Brazil? IMO only a few countries really need to have the right to host a WC. Brazil and an oil field don't qualify.

Brazil could have hosted this thing with its existing stadia. But nope, construction giants need to get in on the money grab too.

I feel like every time the Olympics or World Cup come around it's this issue or that issue and for the most part everything turns up fine.

Martin Tyler has left ESPN's 2014 World Cup Roster.

Ugh.

I love Tyler, but the decision was made so that Ian Darke could be the #1 commentator at the tournament, and IMO that was correct call. Darke has become the voice of soccer at ESPN, and he deserves to be the lead guy at the cup. Tyler didn't want to be #2 (and not be able to call the Final), so releasing him was really the only solution.
