Re: Official Spurs Thread

Lamela has had a good first 15 minutes. Nice to see him rewarded with a goal.

Hopefully he comes into the season with some confidence.

I agree he was all over the place that first half. Good to see Townsend finish as well.

Greizmann would be a great get for you guys. I'm still kind of hoping we can steal him from you, but it looks like we aren't interested.

Re: Official Spurs Thread

Don't know how I completely missed the friendly last night, but a guy in the office just came up and started talking to me about it (his son is a supporter). Sounds like Lamela looked good? That's encouraging. Wish I was going to Chicago on Saturday, but I have plans that I absolutely can't break.

Re: Official Spurs Thread

I only watched the first 20 minutes or so, turned it off shortly after Lamela's first goal. But yes, he did look good. Probably the most noticeable player on the field in that first part of the game.

Re: Official Spurs Thread

Yea Lamela was everywhere chasing the ball and attacking. Solado set him up perfect for both goals, but the announcers gave him no credit. Erickson looked a little out of it at times, but you expect that in pre season games sometimes so I am not surprised.

Re: Official Spurs Thread

If Townsend can stay healthy he is going to play a massive role this season for you guys. Didn't get a fair shake under AVB and was injured for the majority of Sherwood's reign.
