I’m actually starting to think we’ll sell him in January and get whatever we can.

Oh for sure, I don’t think they’d want to risk him going to Chelsea or United for free.

I’m surprised they haven’t expanded it...I remember they more or less made Blackpool add a few thousand seats back when they were promoted.

They ran into a bunch of issues with trying to get it expanded with the land owner, as he wouldn't sell to them. So they then decided to build a new one. But again ran into issues with the land owner about it. So now they are in the process of finding new land to build a new stadium they will own directly. So I think the Premier league has given then some leeway due to the issues they had.

Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread

Ok question to any Everton fans or people who watch them regularly, why exactly is Tom Davies considered such a bright prospect?

I've seen him play a dozen or so times, and I honestly can't tell you any real standout qualities he has aside from his stamina. He's not really above average at all in terms of actual technical ability.

Like, DCL I get, and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't even like him. I get why he is highly rated, he's very raw but you can see the ability there, you can see the amount of potential he has. With Davies though, I just don't get it. It almost seems like he was simply labeled a high potential youngster based solely on the fact that he broke into Everton's first team at a young age. He's not even remotely as gifted as, say, Barkley.

That's it—he runs around a lot and looks busy. He's a newer model of Mark Noble. He's English, and he runs, therefore he's a gem of a lad who has a bright future.

Foreign players who don't run aimlessly like they're a child chasing a ball (Ozil) are lazy—everyone can agree on that.

This little Everton run is quite annoying. Having to see the ****-eating grin on Big Sam's face after they play poorly but get another penalty called that isn't even a penalty to help them on their way. Gylfi's goal was nice though. Can we eventually get him on an actual good team so he can be properly enjoyed?
