It's amazing how depleted this team is defensively, and not due to injuries, but due to a long history of poor signings. Which I do not count Sokratis in—he's played well this year, but he can't do it alone (and if often seems that he's trying to out of necessity).

Sokratis didn't do well, but he also shouldn't need to. I knew that the win/lossless streak was a lot of good fortune as we weren't actually playing all that well during the streak, but this is basically a straight up embarrassing defensive performance.

I know you're not, but nobody should be surprised by this—Arsenal supporters, Liverpool supporters, pundits, etc.

I'm going to be more annoyed by anyone pretending this shows how good Liverpool are than I am the actual result because the result is expected. This Liverpool side should be doing exactly this—they're playing a "top six" side in name and monetary value alone—but not in quality.

This is as impressive as leading Everton 4-1 at the half.

Arsenal's new goal has become to not allow in more than six goals—anything above that enters a new level of pathetic.

This game would be very different with VAR.

With Mané and Lichsteiner both off just 6 minutes in, I doubt we’d be seeing this kind of score line.

I know Arsenal’s defense is pretty wacky, but Mané is a key piece to Liverpool’s attack and with 10 men we’ve already seen they don’t play the same way.

Maybe Arsenal would still be losing, but it definitely wouldn’t be this bad.
