900+ passes, over 80% possession, the best thing about that game was watching Sarri stave off the shakes by cramming stick after stick of chewing gum into his craw.

Tbf watching the opposition set out to intentionally hack your best player to pieces and receive no punishment for it would be pretty stressful.

And they did it literally from the opening whistle.

Even though Giroud took a bow to the face, Luiz HAS to attack that header.

Lmao can’t believe the linesman was right there and didn’t call that elbow.

Whole game was a bunch of bs, so glad we got the win, Newcastle didn’t deserve anything from that game and they still almost got it.

Jose has gone back to Jones & Smalling tonight. Bailly not even in the 18. Alexis Sanchez on the bench.

Danny Rose getting a rare game tonight for Spurs.

Rose getting a start plus Spurs going back to the 4231 with Alderweireld/Vertoghen pairing and Dembele/Dier midfield.

Spurs are either going to dominate like they used to with this lineup (nearly 2 years ago the last time all these guys were healthy together) or it's going to be sloppy.

On the other hand, I hate playing Mouhinos teams when the media is against them. It seems like he always finds a way to make his side play better when drama is around.

Do you think Rose is still a Spurs player on September 1st or is he in the shop window tonight? Lots of talk of a move to the likes of Marseille and PSG. Genuine or just a load of rubbish?

I can't see him going this window without a true LB backup in the squad. Walker-Peters can play LB but he's naturally a RB. I think Rose stays until at least January.

I think he's getting the start tonight much like Alderweireld last week. Poch told everyone that what happened in the past is over and everyone has a fresh start to prove they want to play.
