We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
I am looking towards purchasing a racing for the box and i was wonderin what are good games to get? I don't care about sim or arcade...i like both. Do you guys like the Nascar games or Need for Speed HP2 or anything else? Any help.....
NFS forget it. Lot worse content wise as well as being slightly unfinished. PS2 version is much better.
Apex is a new one that is showing a lot of promise. Project Gotham and Sega GT I just started messing around with. Project Gotham I think is the better of the 2.
Burnout 2 is coming out this summer. If it has as much as the PS2 it will be a must buy. Suppose to be more in=depth tho.
Nascar Thunder 2003 is a good arcade first sim second type racer.
MotoGP I just started playing and I am sold big time on that for cycle racing. Going to increase its time when XBL is hooked up too.
Beyond that its a crapshoot. I may have missed a couple of the Rally Racers but i havent seen any of those yet to even think about a recommendation.
Pro Race Driver is looking very good as well and may be XBL compatible. If it is that will be the racer to own this year at least for now.

For online racing, MotoGP is flat out addicting as hell! It's even better if you can get a hold of the full version to unlock all the tracks, bikes, etc.

1. Moto GP -- great game offline, incredible game on Xbox Live.
2. Project Gotham Racing -- deep, fun, unique. A steal as a Platinum Hits game at $19.99.
3. Rallisport Challenge -- gorgeous arcade rally game with sim undertones. Lots of cars, tracks and eye-popping graphics. Another steal as a Platinum Hits game at $19.99.
4. NASCAR Heat 2002 -- a fantastic NASCAR sim. Doesn't have every track or driver, but it has a much more realistic driving model than any EA NASCAR game. You can find this for $30 or less new.
Apex is looking quite good as an arcadish road racer. It's in stores Feb. 20.
You could get three excellent Xbox racing games -- Rallisport, Project Gotham and NASCAR Heat -- for about $70. It's harder to find Moto GP on the cheap since the game's popularity has been revived since it became Xbox Live-enabled.

I like Moto GP the best.
I liked Project Gotham, but them after a week or so of gameplay I got to a point that I couldn't beat, and since then I haven't really played much.
Burnout was kinda fun for a while, but wasn't much to the game, other than driving through traffic. It was fun but after a while it got old, hopefully the sequal will be great and have more lasting appeal.
I guess Grand Turismo is the only racing game I'm yet to get bored with. I haven't tried Sega GT yet.
