My NASCAR 09 setup cheat sheet - V2

I posted a guide in the setup thread, but after reading an exhaustive article about it, I revised my sheet. I mostly threw out everything that I had on there before and redid it with the information I gleaned and directed it towards the setup options we have available in 09.

I got the info from http://www.racelinecentral.com/ which seems to be down right now, so I can't find the exact link to what I'm referencing.

Here it is: Enjoy and hope it helps!

Do we just pick one from the list or do we try to do as many of those as we can?

Sorry for double post, but I have a couple more questions.
          1) How can I lower my tire's workload, lower the PSI?
          2) To stiffen my springs to I higher it or lower it and vice-versa
3)Where it says low tire temperatures, high tire temperatures, and poor accelerations, does that solve the problem for those tire pressures, or cause those tire pressures.

          Thanks, Knight..

Any on the list will help correct the condition listed. Just use one and make a small change and go from there.

1: There are different ways to lessen the workload on a tire. The best way is to move weight off of that corner, either with wedge, or front/left bias.
2: Yeah, a higher setting stiffens the spring.
3: The whole list is based around a condition, and what to do to solve that condition.

It may be tough, but I've got a question...At first glance I wouldn't know how much to try changing a value (even looking at rookie to veteran at California they change the tire pressures by 8 psi or so, I'd have had no idea)...is there a site that would kinda help you know what a good increment for testing would be on different things? Does that make sense? lol

Yeah I understand, and there's really no answer. It's trial and error and you learn as you go. The best advice I have for anyone is to make only one adjustment at a time, and unless you are confident that you know what that adjustment will do only make it in small increments.

For instance, I use tire temps a lot to gauge my setup, and if I need to raise a pressure, I usually only do so by 1 pound. But after a time, you'll learn when more is needed.

I'm learning as much as everyone else probably is. I had a real good understanding years ago when I raced on the PC, so it's coming back slowly and I'm sure that gives me a bit of a headstart.

Yeah, I'll just tinker...part of it is I'm also learning the lines as I go, so it's not usually the setup that's wrong

don't mean to hijack the thread but if yall need some more help, here is a site I used for NASCAR Heat, NR2003 and many other NASCAR games.

Go to the tire temp anaylysis for insite on adjustments including how much to adjust. Use the CTS configuration since the car of tommorrow best represents the CTS cars.

Thanks alot man, really helps me, but can you make spring adjustments in a race or do you have todo it in practice.

I've made Setups sheets to write down your setups if you wish. After printing up a copy of each, I made like 30 copies of each so I could have 1 for each track in each series. Thanks for the cheat sheet also. I'm finding it to be very useful.
