Forza 1080i issues

Guys I've had my samsung 52 inch for a while now. I've always had the display settings at 1080i, and its given me awesome picture. I play all of my games with those settings. Since I put forza in the game will start and then when I get to my car selection screen, the screen just goes blank and the TV says that the "mode not supported" and then the game comes back and then goes black again! Then it'll come back with the screen shaking!

So I turned my display settings to 720p and the game ran smoothly with no hiccups or blank screens or anything(played for two hours). I noticed last night during forza 2 that on the 4th corner on Suzuka the screen did the same thing. Yet I could do all the other races just fine. I popped in madden, and it ran without a hitch, same with 2k10, Gears 2, etc..

Any suggestions as to whats the issue? Also im running a brand new elite, my old box took a sh** last week.

I sure hope that's not the case. My TV is 1080i only.

Im really at a loss here man, I dont know what it is thats going wrong. So I dont even know where to start to fix it. I checked all the connections, the little hd switch on the cable, pretty much everything.

I put mine in this afternoon and it's working fine. Not sure what's going on there. What is the native resolution set to on your 360?

It was 1080i, and its been that way for years! I dont know why its going in and out on the only game I want to play right now. Again it works when I change it to 720p but I dont get the sharpness I want.

Called gamestop and microsoft. No help from either. I'm gonna try this copy on another xbox. Wish me luck guys.

Well I tried it on another xbox and the game works perfectly fine!!! I just played an entire game of madden with no issues either. I'm really at a loss here guys.

I had a similar issue with Forza 2 right after it came out. But for me, I couldn't get the game to load, it would always lock up on me at one of the boot up slash screens, same place every time!!! Other games would work just fine, only Forza 2 had a problem.

Turned out that my video card was faulty and for whatever reason, only Forza 2 had a problem coping with the graphics card issues. Granted, this is a much different problem than you are having, but strikes me kind of funny that it's happening with the new Forza.

I know you said that you are running a new Elite system but it could have a faulty graphics card in it, who knows.
