    GT5 NASCAR Mode

Just bought this game sunday night. played about 30 minutes, split screen mode.

I just quick like flipped through the menus, but didn't do anything past that.

Is it possible in the game to skip directly to the NASCAR races, or is it something you have to earn your way to?

I hope for your sake you didn't buy this game for NASCAR. It's done with minimal content.

strictly an xbox guy here, i've had my ps3 for 2-3 years, i'd say it has about 3 hours total play time on it.

been waiting for this game to drop for what seems like forever. the nascar mode was basically an unexpected surprise.

shame to hear that it's done poorly.

You can't say it was done poorly. It has great physics and it has an entire special event section, including a series of intense and difficult races when you reach level 21. I have read on various forums of how it has had NASCAR haters change their minds and actually enjoy the various races.

          ACC,SEC,BigXII - #7 LSU Tigers(11-2) -- Offseason(Cotton Bowl Champs)

Not done poorly but just minimal content. (A few drivers and only 2 tracks.) the cars are gorgeous and the Daytona/Indy never looked better.

If you want NASCAR, I suggest you wait until Feb. 15, 2011, when NASCAR 2011 The Game comes out, by Eutechnyx and Activision. Game is the most in-depth NASCAR game I've seen. As for the GT5 content, it is limited and apparently you need to reach level 21 to unlock all the NASCAR cars, which really sucks.

NASCAR is done quite well but it's rather limited. The field is 12 cars instead of 43 and there are only two ovals (Indy and Daytona). The NASCAR championship you unlock at level 21 offers races in Laguna Seca too. NASCAR is only a part of many in GT5 and gives you some great races - great physics, sense of speed, competitive racing. As one part of many it's done well, it's not too great as a dedicated NASCAR experience. I miss Charlotte and Atlanta and more cars for example.
