Forza 4 Difficulty - career mode

Is there anyway to alter the difficulty of career mode specifically the AI of the other drivers or do they just get better as you progress? I've already turned up all the difficulty except manual shifting. I don't win every race, but it seems like there isn't enough of a penalty for going off-road or bumping other drivers.

In free play you can make the computer drivers professional difficulty, but I don't see where you can change it in career mode.

Love the game anyway, but I was just wondering.

I believe it's adaptive so the more podiums you get the harder the AI gets.

I have also heard that if you do the event list instead of the world tour the difficulty is increased for some reason.

When going through the event list to access races, you can specifiy which AI difficulty you want.

That's what's been said, but I never really observed that. I've since switched to event list so that I can get competitive races by adjusting the AI difficulty.

I think the AI may be adaptive in World Tour, but I'm not sure. But like somebody else said, if you chose the race from the event list, you can specify how hard you want the AI and they do seem to put up more of a fight.

The tour AI seems to be set to easy at first and normal later.
As I suggested in the impressions topic just use a lesser car. Something that handles better but isn't as fast or something that's fast and doesn't handle well,if it's a 600 max rating use a 550.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will start using the event list. I thought about using a lesser car, but just never really tried. it. Thanks.
