Heavyweight Bout: Kasey Kahne Takes On Dale Earnhardt Jr.
In The Finals Of The “Drive for the Cover” Campaign

This is it. A month of voting by the most passionate fans in all of sports has whittled down the field to two mammoth combatants: Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne.

Two more weeks of voting between this pair of NASCAR stars will decide the victor of the Drive for the Cover campaign – and the ultimate prize of gracing the NASCAR The Game: Inside Line cover.

The first four rounds saw several upsets and unexpected matchups, and last week’s semifinals were no different. Kasey Kahne pulled ahead of Jeff Gordon early and never looked back. Kahne’s reward for the upset will be a head-to-head matchup with nine-time Most Popular Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., whose journey to the finals has been far from smooth. Earnhardt Jr. defeated Danica Patrick in Round 3 to face reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup series champion Tony Stewart in the semifinals. In a matchup that was closer than many expected, Earnhardt Jr. escaped the semifinals with a tight victory over Stewart.
 
NASCAR fans can vote in the bracketed tournament that is hosted entirely on NASCAR The Game’s Facebook page, which can be easily accessed at www.nascarthegame.com/vote.

Voting for the finals of the “Drive for the Cover” campaign begins today with two weeks remaining in the campaign to select the driver who will adorn the cover of NASCAR The Game: Inside Line. Here is the voting schedule, which culminates in July:

I like both of these guys, but Jr's already been on a NASCAR Thunder cover and so Kasey gets my vote for being 'hometown'.

FWIW, Ryan Newman is my favorite driver, but I'm cool with either of these guys getting a cover.

I really wish they didnt do any voting and put Dale Sr on the cover.

But I grew up a huge Dale Sr fan so Junior gets my vote.

I'm voting for Junior only because my wife lusts for Kasey Kahne. That'll teach her.

That is true. Also wouldn't mind seeing him and Junior together on the cover.

And I hope they realize if they do this vote every year Junior is most likely going to win.

Their better off just changing its to Dale Jr's NASCAR Racing. Just like Tiger Woods golf. Because the vote will end with him on the cover every year.

I'd like to see a duel cover of a current driver and a legend kind of like what Madden does with two cover players, if only for a few years. Earnhardt sr and whoever , Petty and whoever.

NTG set this up for Dale Jr to coast into the finals. C'mon look at who he went against in the 1st two rounds before matching up with Danica who they make seem had a chance and his only true "test" was Stewart but with all the Stewart haters out there it was easy sailing for him. Kahne deserves this more and he didnt become popular by riding his daddys coat tails....

We haven't heard any real details on career mode yet, have we? How it will work, upgrades, starting at the bottom and working your way up, etc.?
