Re: DriveClub (PS4)

I just spent two hours with the game. I was doing single player single races only to check out the different locations. The game looks and feels great.

What I like:
Full game ships with 5 locations , each has 11 events , 4 point to point, 4 road courses and 3 race tracks. All are unlocked at the start. I thought this game was going to be all point to point racing so I'm thrilled that there are road courses and race tracks.

The race set ups have full customization, you can set laps, number of A.I., time of day, speed time of day changes, weather, A.I. Difficulty.

Each car has its own feel and one handles differently from the next. The driving feels very smooth and is a good mix of arcade and sim. Personally I like that I can just get in a car in go and I don't have to spend time tweaking a set up to get it to hold the road.

What I don't like :
There doesn't appear to be any replays, I'd like to be able to watch the replay of a race.
Also it's still to soon to tell but it seems the A.I. Is programmed to follow a certain line no matter what. I've been banged around a couple times when I had the inside line in a turn, but they came into me anyway. Something that can be easily patched . However I'm still learning the courses so things may change. It could be user error at this point.

I recommend waiting until the free version is available and trying it out to see if it's your kind of game. Personally so far I absolutely love it. Can't wait until my work day is over, heading there now.

Re: DriveClub (PS4)

I'm downloading the free version today after work. If I like what I play, I'll be paying for the full game. I'd like to join up for the club and placed on a team.

Just the paint jobs and liveries from what I can tell. Cars feel very different from one another though. Played about an hour this morning and I really like it.

They killed me with unlocking this at 3 AM. I couldn't play any last night, but I'm about to dig into it in a bit.

Brought my vita to work with me. I will try to connect to my PS4 from work and give it a go at lunch.

Re: DriveClub (PS4)

I have PS+ but the horrid PS Store UI seems to think I don't (confirmed it renews in a week). Not a big racing guy so have very low expectations, but will download the free version at least.

Compared to Horizon, NFS, etc, where does this rank as sim/arcade controls?
