No Plans For Paid DLC in Need For Speed, Runs 30FPS on Xbox One and PS4

During a Need For Speed Q&A session, which you can read here, the team answers many questions about the game.

    Q) Will there be paid DLC?
    A) We plan to release a series of free content updates for Need for Speed. We currently have no plans for any paid DLC.

    Q) Will there be micro transactions?
    A) There will be no micro transactions.

    Q) What frame rate will the game run on consoles?
    A) For any driving game a steady frame rate is incredibly important, and with Need for Speed we’re delivering super high production values when it comes to both visuals and sound – as can be seen in our pre-alpha footage of the game. We always look to maximize the game technology with the platform technology for the experience we’re building, which is why the game will run at 30fps on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. By doing this we ensure that your gameplay experience remains incredibly smooth and allows you to experience the high speed, adrenaline fuelled gameplay that you’ve come to expect from the Need for Speed series.

They have also released more details on customization in the game. Check out all of the details on Visual Customization, Handling/Tuning, Performance Upgrades, as well as Paint and Wrap.

Probably because there are so many other good racers out there and Need for Speed games are usually not good as of late.

Yeah, but this one seems too legit, has everything people have been asking for except manual transmission lol.

Probably because EA screwed up the image of the game by foolishly making it online only. Apparently you can't even play the game if you're not on a high speed connection. Not everyone in the country lives in an area that supports it! I was buying the game ever since the announcement and e3 trailer until that online announcement!

Also when you're forced to always be online or not play, there better not be any significant DLC or microtransactions.

I love car games like this where you can make your cars truly one of a kind. Haven't played a game like this since Midnight Club LA, and love what Ghost is doing. The cars are looking great, customization is going to be great, only problem is no manual transmission, and maybe always online. Other than that can't wait to play this game when it come out.

Just gotta convince my friends to get this and the game would be even better.

Most games now you have to be online to fully enjoy it anyway
