I picked up the game last night, along with a PS4 Pro to accompany my new 4K UHD TV. I figure this has to be the best this game can look.

FPS is a big deal to me, especially when it comes to racing games. Glad to say with Boost Mode enabled on the Pro (and the rear view mirror turned off), the frame rate seems like a very stable 30fps, maybe even a bit higher. (EDIT: Just ran another race at Darlington, seems way above 30fps and stable.) It's nowhere close to 60fps, but it does perform better than last year's version, even with the new lighting and damage particles and whatnot. I haven't been involved in a huge multi-car pile-up yet, that will be the true test.

It's also possible that the game performs like this whether Boost Mode is enabled or not, haven't turned it off to check.

Just noticed the camera settings are saved this year. Hooray!

Guess I'm staying away from Career Mode unless/until it's patched or identified as an XB1 only issue.

704 has to know that this must be fixed and as quickly as possible. No better way to run off potential buyers than a glitch that loses your saved progress... wow.

Pretty good game game..but yeah they really got to fix stage racing..the ai pit logic is bad

Thing is guys, it's bigger than just career mode. It's EVERYTHING.

ALL of my progress since Tuesday night disappeared. Career mode. Championship/Season mode. Stats/speedpoints/speed ratings on tracks from quick races. Everything from that period is gone except for 9 races I ran at some point in time Tuesday. It's likely that race data is missing because the results/points were from career or championship mode races I suppose.

Can't explain it, how or when it started/stopped, but its bigger than career.

Did guys start this before the patch droped cause i have had no problems but didnt start anything to save until the update droped

So discouraging. Atleast they are discussing it on reddit, so hopefully they can find the cause of the issue and get it fixed ASAP.

I moved my install to my internal drive and it stopped the frame drop or freeze when the spotter said certain things and at start finish. Could this be affecting the save data as well? Any of the data loss on ps4?
