Make Sure you go to Sound Options and make these adjustments. I don't know why PD was hiding this, makes sound go boom.

Early thoughts after I got the update downloaded:
Man, those Driving School missions are addicting. And I was just looking to get silver or better on everything in the beginner section (some of those golds are pretty challenging). Pretty informative too - turns out I have a habit of braking either too late or too long, and it was really hurting my times in these tests. Once I started letting the car coast a little through turns I started finishing some of the longer tests without much trouble.
There is definitely a different feel from this to PCars, and I don't mean just in how it's almost impossible to oversteer. I don't know if it's better or worse - just different. I can say there is more of a sense of speed in this game, and it's forcing me into some mistakes I probably wouldn't make in PCars. I'm just getting re-acquainted with my DFGT (see the Drivehub thread for how that's possible - it is and it's excellent), so it's probably not fair for me comment on how the cars handle much more than that.
Had to laugh when I saw that one of the sale items in the mileage point store is a Safety Car - immediately bought it.

As I've already said, GT Sport is graphically outstanding, featuring top-of-the-line car models, and clean, crisp, and exceptionally realistically-rendered racing environments. The audio is similarly excellent. It's vastly improved over prior versions of the game, especially the high-end racers, which sound hair-raisingly raw and mechanical. Its sublime handling engine feels very Gran Turismo, with the distinctive weight and heft that the series is known for, and the overall driving experience is as involving and detailed as I could hope for. GT Sport really does look, sound, and drive exceptionally well.

I ended up playing way more of this last night than I intended to. No complaints, though.
My PSN is PappyKnuckles. A lot of you are already on my list, but feel free to add me. Having a bunch of leaderboard competition will be nice with this game.

Full Gran Turismo Sport update 1.02 patch notes aren’t available yet (we’ll update the post once they are available), but we do know it adds the following features:
- All car data is updated in order to support rain conditions
- Adds the opening movie
- Several tweaks to level design
- The reward sequence has been updated
- Several bugs have been corrected
