It depends on what you are looking for. These are not tightly controlled races around set courses. In addition to some street races, they have tag games. One in which one car is king and if someone hits him , then he becomes king. The racer wit the most time as king wins. They also have a game of infection.
One thing that is either annoying or fun, depending on what you want, is that you group up with several other racers, and you play a series of races and games. Between each race you trace the group to the next location, and for that, there are no rules and it can be as fun or boring as you want it to be.
FH is more like an open world game, anti is fun to just drive and round and find crazy stuff to do. Many of the Bucket List challenges get started that way, with devs just criss crossing the map and doing crazy stuff, which they realized was fun. So then they made a series of Bucket List stuff based on things they would do.
The best part of the FH is that if you get bored with anything, there is a million other different things to do. All the while you are driving Forza quality vehicles, although the damage and such are tuned to be much more forgiving.
It's my favorite racing series of all time, even beating out PGR.Comment

Horizon 3 is at the same time the best casual racer and the worst PC port I've ever played, with unacceptable memory leaks and severe stuttering even in the lowest settings. I don't own a XOne, so if PC performance isn't massively improved over 3, this game will be a no-touch for me. Sadly.Comment

Got this yesterday for the xb1, the ultimate edition with early access. Initial impressions are that it plays just like the other hand in the series. Graphics are are vivid on 4k and the new seasons look awesome.
Pretty disappointed with the early launch though. It felt more like a beta where much of the game is still locked. I played for about an hour and did everything I could do until autumn (which I'm guessing will start with the standard edition launch this upcoming week). Haven't even been able to access the garage to buy new cars so earning money in the same 4 races right now is kind of pointless except to have a stockpile later on

You should have way more stuff than that. I couldn't finish everything before the season changed. There's way more than four things to do. There's the races, stunt challenges, the horizon showcase for summer, not to mention all of the other stuff that you typically see in Horizon game. Yeah, for those who don't know, just keep playing, as you progress through the seasons everything opens up. Only thing that's closed off for me at this point is the clubs tab.
As for the game. Fantastic. If you liekd 3, you'll like 4. The map is deceptively small. When I first looked at the map, I was like hmm... this seems smaller than austrailia. I guess it's just the scale though, because it's a huge open world. Just the map view makes it seem smaller, or maybe it's just me, but it's huge, has some cool areas to explore.
The 4 seasons, are done incredibly well from visuals, to control changes, it's just alot of damn fun!
Now, if anyone knows where the "goliath" race for FH4 is, please let me know! Assuming there is one again this year anyways.

Am having a lot of fun with the game so far even though I'm terrible at PVP and drifting lol. Went through all the seasons and now am on Summer after completing the tutorial. Played a few Forza Live challenges and they were pretty fun.Comment
