Re: NASCAR Heat 4 Review

Robert, great review and write up, thank you!

For me, the most difficult part to wrestle down with NH4 is the lack of 4k support. I'd understand better if it was 2017, but 4k gaming developer packages have been out for well over 3 years now, and the console hardware is well established. There's just no excuse honestly.

If anyone also plays the F1 product and switches back and forth to play both racing sports (like I do), it's like eating a steak at Ruth Chris and then a steak at Golden Corral lol. Regardless, I'll continue to support 704Games and the NH product because I want them to succeed and I know that team does care about it's client base.

Thanks for the review.

They promoted the fact that you can now race any series on any track. Can this be done in Championship mode?

I figure they may have added new schedule options for each series to race on every track or, even better, given us the option of a custom schedule.

Re: NASCAR Heat 4 Review

Received the Gold edition yesterday and must say this game is significantly more enjoyable (to me) than NASCAR Heat 3. The game looks better (which doesn't matter to me personally, but an observation I had) - and I just enjoy how the cars race on the track.

Granted, I have only raced three races thus far, but I am happy with what 704 Games gave us. I do wish we had more statistics, but with the track map I am able to chart lap leaders that way as well as how I would track my statistics other ways previously.

Looking forward to getting a bit more seat time in this and beginning a career, as a NASCAR fan I am happy.

Bob, nice write up.

Did you try it with a wheel or just the controller? The force feedback on my wheel (XBox version) is notchy and chattery. It isn't smooth and natural. Wondering if that was something you ran into, or if you stuck mostly with the controller.

I tried to secure a PC copy to test it out on my racing chassis...but they were traveling back from Indy - so just PS4 and controller (thanks for the kind words also)

I have made it to season 5 of my career now and have seen no option to change the career mode schedule...and not sure about championship mode) sadly I am on the road and won’t be home for a week to check

Re: NASCAR Heat 4 Review

I believe we aren't able to customize our own schedules, it is basically presets that we can choose from for Championship Mode..I can verify later this evening.
