Re: MX vs ATV All Out - 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship DLC Available Today

I bought this game on sale because I'm a huge MX / SX fan. Playing this game after playing Milestones games shows you just how bad it is. The entire handling and physics model is a joke. Save your money, MX vs ATV has been total trash since Reflex , that was the last decent game they put out.

The MX / SX games Milestone is making are light years ahead of these guys. Supercross 3 and MXGP 2019 are both excellent. If you want to play a great Motocross game those are the games you want.

Thanks for the tip. I was tempted to pick it up for the outdoor national tracks.

I had a quick question if anyone is still in the know on this title...

In October 2020 a 3rd version of this game was released...the 2020 Pro Nationals Edition (it has the Lucas Oil badge on the front cover).**

Would this include the DLC from the Anniversary edition as well?* I grabbed a copy at Walmart for $29.99 but haven't opened it yet.* Just wondering if it has all DLC on the disk.*

Not sure about that, sounds like it's the Pro Motocross add on plus the regular game. I was tough on this game , I'm re-downloading it now to see if my opinion has changed. I'm hoping I like it becuase I would love to race the outdoor national tracks.

Re: MX vs ATV All Out - 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship DLC Available Today

That's what my guess is, but if I open it I'll be sure to post back. Funny because there's no mention of this edition on the THQ or Rainbow websites. It just shows up at Amazon (with a release date of 10/5/2020) and I picked mine up at Walmart. Also saw the Anniversary edition for $19.99 on clearance at Walmart.

Both editions have different barcodes but the copyright date on the AMA edition is 2020 and the Anniversary edition is 2019. The AMA edition claims to have "all the tracks" from the game but doesn't specify the term "DLC."

If the AMA edition doesn't have any other DLC then the Anniversary edition is a better buy. But the AMA edition may have more patches and updates on the disk. Funny how this game was Xbox One X Enhanced but not PS4 Pro Enhanced. I'm on PS4.

Just debating whether picking this up (with the DLC for around $50 total) to have the gameplay variety or just buying Monster Energy S4.

Probably thinking way too hard about this but hey, having fun lol.

I emailed Rainbow and heard back from the community manager who told me the 3 dlc on the anniversary edition are not on the 2020 Pro edition...but all of the 2020 pro tracks are on the Pro Edition disk. So it's cheaper to get the Anniversary edition for $20 and maybe buy the Pro tracks later on.

Thumbs up Re: MX vs ATV All Out - 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship DLC Available Today

Well I downloaded the game again and gave it another shot. It's just to unrealistic feeling to me. The bike handling is just a mess. Sure after a few races I can get used to it , but why would I want to?

Funny thing is back when I gamed on my PC many many years ago , I was running windows 98 at the time, Rainbow Studios Motocross Madness 2 was a fantastic MX game, and years later even MX vs ATV reflex was great. That's why I don't understand what happened. Somehow they got off track and the games got more arcadey. Or it could just be that Rainbow are now all different people with a different vision?
